Experience has shown that this dynamic cone penetrometer is highly effective in pre-augered holes with depths ranging from 15 to 20 feet (4.6 to 6.1 cm). For sampling purposes, the cone can be easily replaced with a plated drive tube assembly that allows for the collection of 3" x 10" (7.6 x 25.4 cm) samples in pre-augured holes.
The Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Complete includes a DCP sleeved drive hammer, an adapter with a point, four extensions, and a laminated instruction sheet for user convenience. The cone and other components are made from high-quality materials, with the cone specifically being heat-treated and the components being zinc-plated for durability.
