High/low alarms and selectable °F/°C put the user in complete control. The 8-point circular laser aiming feature enhances aiming accuracy and repeatability. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.10-1.00 with a default setting of 0.95. Uses two AAA batteries, which are included, for up to 180 hours of continuous operation. Selectable modes for IR or probe functions include Max/Min, Difference (Max/Min), and Lock, for continuous scanning.

This infrared thermometer will work on skin but is not recommended for a forehead temperature unless measures can be taken to protect the eyes from the infrared beam it emits.
