ASTM S19F Non-Mercury Thermometer, 120 to 134F, NIST Calibration

These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM S19F Non-Mercury Thermometer is a high-quality liquid-in-glass thermometer designed for a temperature range of 120 to 134 degrees Fahrenheit. This thermometer has physical and performance characteristics that are identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications. While it has not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes, it provides accurate and reliable temperature readings.

One of the key features of this thermometer is that it uses a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. The dark blue color of the liquid makes it easy to read against the white-backed stem, ensuring accurate temperature measurement.

To provide further assurance of its accuracy, the thermometer comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is a five-point calibration certificate performed in an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. The calibration is carried out using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. Additionally, the thermometer is inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM S19F Non-Mercury Thermometer has a length of 11 inches (280mm) and is designed for total immersion. It is specifically used for Saybolt Viscosity applications and has a division of 0.2 degrees. The thermometer is a non-mercury type, making it safe for use without any environmental concerns.

To ensure proper storage and prevent fluid column separation, it is recommended to store the Non-Mercury Thermometer vertically using a storage rack. For added protection and thermal stabilization in ovens or other exposed environments, a Thermometer Well is available.

In addition to the non-mercury thermometers, the company also offers a full line of ASTM Mercury Filled Thermometers and other ASTM Non-Mercury Thermometers.

Overall, the ASTM S19F Non-Mercury Thermometer provides accurate and reliable temperature measurement for Saybolt Viscosity applications. With its safe blue indicating liquid, NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration, and convenient storage options, it is a trusted tool for various industries and laboratories.
