6in (152.4mm) Neoprene Pads come in 50, 60, or 70 durometer. They are used when testing compressive strength of 6x12in concrete cylinders and meet ASTM C1231/1231M and AASHTO T 22 standards. The pads are 0.5in (12.7mm) thick and flow during compression to fill irregularities in cylinder ends and ensure uniform load distribution. The 6in Steel Retainer Set are sold separately and required to hold the pads at both ends of the cylinder. Two pads are required. Pads are sold singly or in a package of 12, and can be used up to 100 times.
