The Zeitfuchs Cross-Arm Viscometer, Size 3, is a specialized laboratory instrument designed for the precise measurement of kinematic viscosity in transparent and opaque liquids. It is particularly well-suited for testing petroleum products like bitumen, road oils, and asphalt cements, adhering to industry standards. This model is ideal for samples with a viscosity range of 6 to 30 centistokes (cSt).

A key design advantage of the Zeitfuchs viscometer is its efficiency. It requires only a small sample volume (1–3mL), which minimizes product waste and allows for rapid temperature equilibrium. The cross-arm design enables filling, measurement, and cleaning to be performed while the viscometer remains immersed in a constant temperature bath, significantly streamlining the testing workflow. For accurate results, a minimum immersion depth of 9in (230mm) is necessary.

Each viscometer is manufactured to meet rigorous quality standards and is supplied with a Certificate of Calibration, verifying its approximate constant of 0.03 cSt/s and ensuring measurement precision within ±0.2%.
