Giatec SmartRock: Long-Range Temperature Wireless Concrete Monitoring Sensors (1ft Cable)
Giatec SmartRock Long-Range Wireless Concrete Monitor Sensors (1ft Cable)
SmartRock Wireless Concrete Sensors are the reliable and efficient solution for monitoring concrete temperature and strength. Used during the concrete pour to measure internal conditions and ensure quality control, help optimize concrete curing and improve scheduling for any concrete project. These sensors use wireless data recording and real-time strength calculations to streamline concrete construction processes. They report maximum and minimum temperatures as well as temperature differentials by recording temperature data from both the sensor body and the probe for comparison. Available in packs of 10.
With continuous temperature monitoring and real-time concrete strength calculations, the need for field-cured cylinders or cubes is greatly reduced. The sensor’s data helps determine optimal timing for form removal, reshoring and load application with more certainty. Concrete strength is updated every 15 minutes according to ASTM C1074.
SmartRock sensors are designed to be embedded in fresh concrete within 2 inches (50.8 mm) of the surface by attaching them to rebar. Installation is simple: install the sensor by securing it to the rebar, make sure it’s fully installed in the concrete structure for accurate monitoring. Activation starts when the white temperature probe end is removed. Each sensor comes with a fully charged battery that lasts up to 4 months after activation. It operates between -22 to 181°F (-30 to 85°C) and measures 3.125 x 1.625 x 1.03 inches (80 x 42 x 26 mm).
To start data collection, scan the QR code on the sensor with the free mobile app to register the device and start monitoring. Wireless concrete sensor design eliminates the need for wires, making installation easier and less clutter on site. These sensors can be installed in any type of concrete structure to measure temperature data at different depths and locations.
Long-Range Sensors have a 1-foot (0.3-meter) temperature probe cable and a wireless signal range of up to 1,000 feet (300 meters). Sold in packs of 10.Using the SmartRock app on a smartphone or tablet, users can collect, review and sync smartrock sensor data to the Giatec 360™ cloud dashboard. For added convenience, the SmartHub™ Remote Monitoring System (sold separately) allows 24/7 remote monitoring, custom real-time alerts and no site visits. SmartHub is compatible with both standard and long-range sensors. Smartrock sensor data and temperature data are used to optimize concrete curing and improve scheduling for any concrete project.

Concrete Monitoring
In the construction industry, concrete monitoring is crucial to ensure the quality and durability of concrete structures. By tracking key parameters such as temperature, maturity and strength, contractors can detect potential issues early and ensure concrete meets all required standards. Modern construction sites are turning to wireless concrete sensors for this task as these devices offer real-time data collection and continuous monitoring without the hassle of manual measurements or cumbersome cables. Wireless concrete sensors are fully embedded in the concrete, providing accurate temperature and maturity data throughout the curing process. This real-time monitoring not only maintains the integrity of structures but also streamlines project timelines by allowing for faster, data-driven decisions. Therefore, wireless concrete sensors have become an essential tool for concrete monitoring in today’s construction projects.
Concrete Maturity Sensors
Concrete maturity sensors have changed the construction industry by providing a smarter way to monitor concrete temperature and strength during curing. These sensors provide real time data on temperature and maturity so contractors can make informed decisions and optimize the curing process. With concrete maturity sensors, the need for field cured cylinders is greatly reduced, saving time and resources. The sensors also help identify issues early, so corrective action can be taken and minimize the risk of costly delays or rework. With continuous monitoring, contractors can ensure concrete reaches the desired strength before moving to the next phase, improving overall quality control and efficiency on site. Ultimately, concrete maturity sensors support better project outcomes by providing data for every stage of construction.
Features and Specs
Concrete maturity sensors have advanced features to meet the demands of the construction industry. One of the key specs is the wireless signal range, which determines how far data can be transmitted from the sensor to a smart device or monitoring system. High quality sensors have robust wireless signal performance, so data can be collected even on large or complex sites. Measurement accuracy is another key feature, with sensors providing precise temperature readings and ability to detect temperature differentials within the concrete. Measurement frequency, such as every 15 minutes, ensures real data is always available for analysis. Many sensors, like the SmartRock, connect to the smartrock app, so users can access data, monitor concrete maturity and track temperature differentials from their device. These features make concrete maturity sensors an essential tool for real time monitoring and project management.
