Grade 55 Filter Paper is a durable, fast-filtering, hardened ash-grade paper designed for soil testing applications such as triaxial shear strength and flexible-wall permeability. It prevents soil fine migration and pore blockage when used with porous stones.
3.0in (76.2mm) Filter Paper – Ahlstrom Grade 55 is comparable to Whatman Grade 54 and is specified in various ASTM and AASHTO soil testing methods. This high-purity filter paper offers strong resistance to acids and alkalis, enhanced wet strength, and a smooth, fiber-free surface. It provides 15µm particle retention with a filtration speed of 220ml/min. The pre-cut filters are available in packs of 100.
