Grade 55 Filter Paper is a durable, fast-filtering ash-grade paper designed for soil testing applications such as triaxial shear strength and flexible-wall permeability. It prevents soil fines from migrating and keeps pores clear when used with porous stones.
2.0in (50.8mm) Filter Paper – Ahlstrom Grade 55 is comparable to Whatman Grade 54 and is recommended for various ASTM and AASHTO soil test methods. This high-purity filter paper offers excellent resistance to strong acids and alkalis, enhanced wet strength, and a smooth, fiber-free surface. It features a 15µm particle retention and a filtration speed of 220ml/min.
