Constructed from machined stainless steel or nickel alloy plated steel, this load cell is built to withstand the rigors of demanding testing environments. Its four-wire cable outputs voltage signals that are compatible with two-channel or four-channel Data Readout units (sold separately), ensuring seamless integration into your existing testing setup. The top and bottom threaded mounting holes provide flexible installation options to suit your specific testing needs.
Applications
The S-Type Load Cell is suitable for a wide range of testing applications, including:
- Compression tests: For unconfined compression or CBR/LBR tests, the load cell is mounted between the load frame and test apparatus or penetration piston, ensuring accurate and consistent measurements.
- Direct-shear applications: For tests that measure both compression and tension, the load cell is mounted between the shear box and a fixed point on the loading frame.
- Triaxial shear, Marshall stability, indirect tensile, Lottman, SCB, or similar tests: A uniform point of contact is required between the load cell and testing fixtures for these applications.
