Miniature Female Jack, Type J, 200°C Temp Rating (10/Pack)

Our miniature thermocouple and RTD connectors are essential components for ensuring accurate temperature measurement in a wide range of industrial and scientific applications. This pack includes 10 Type J female mini connectors, each rated for a maximum operating temperature of 200°C (392°F).

Key Features and Specifications:

  • Connector Type: Miniature Female Jack
  • Thermocouple Calibration: Type J (Iron-Constantan)
  • Maximum Temperature Rating: 200°C (392°F)
  • Body Material: High-performance glass-filled thermoplastic for stability and durability at high temperatures.
  • Pin Material: Made from true thermocouple alloy to ensure precise signal transmission and prevent measurement errors.
  • Compatibility: Designed for use with Type J thermocouple wire and male mini connectors. Available for other thermocouple types (J, K, T) and RTDs.

Application and Installation Guidance:

For accurate temperature readings, it is crucial that the thermocouple extension wire material matches the material of the positive and negative legs of the thermocouple sensor itself (e.g., Type K wire for a Type K sensor). Using a mismatched wire can introduce significant errors into your temperature data.

In setups where a transmitter is integrated into the thermocouple sensor assembly, standard copper instrumentation wire is typically used instead of thermocouple extension wire. The transmitter converts the sensor's millivolt signal into a robust, scalable (4-20) mA analog signal, which is then sent back to the process control equipment. This method is less susceptible to noise and signal degradation over long distances.

Similarly, RTD sensors utilize standard copper instrumentation cable to transmit their resistance-based signal to the control or readout device. If a transmitter is installed within the RTD sensor assembly, it will also convert the signal to a (4-20) mA output using copper wire.

Comprehensive Wiring Solutions:

Pyromation offers a complete selection of wiring and insulation solutions to meet your specific needs. We stock a variety of sizes and gauges of thermocouple grade wire and extension wire. We also provide specialized constructions, including multi-pair thermocouple extension wire and custom RTD cables, to support complex installations.
