Flexible, tear-resistant silicon molds offer convenience in terms of easy demolding and cleaning, and are manufactured by Asphalt Institute. Dimensions may vary from the specified sample sizes in order to ensure proper placement and trimming between the plates of the DSR. Molds are a 2in (51mm) triangle with 0.25in (6.35mm) thickness and made from Silicone Rubber.

The mold cavities are expertly honed and hand polished, ensuring smooth, true specimen cavities. A durable, hard chrome finish resists the corrosive and adhesive effects of most compounds, greatly improving overall durability and ease of maintenance.

Our ASTM D412 Specimen Molds Dies A - F are ideal for evaluating the tensile (tension) of vulcanized thermoset rubber and thermoplastic elastomers.
