Thermolyne Furnace: FB1410M Benchtop Muffle, Max. 2192F, 2.1L, 240V
The ashing Muffle Furnace is used for ashing, ignition tests, gravimetric analyses and volatile matter determinations. For construction materials, furnaces are used for tests of soils, aggregates and cement. This unit has rugged components and top quality materials to assure longest service life. It also has custom-formed refractory cement which enhances durability and thermal efficiency. Max. temp. 2192F (1200C) Chamber capacity 120in3.
This unit has single set-point control ramp directly to set-point and dwell at that temperature. Display shows actual temperature or set-point. Over-temperature protection and 0.3in (7.6mm) LED digital display for °C or °F. Thermocouple failure and runaway protection.
Multiple elements in sides, tops and/or bottoms. Since doors and backs have no elements, only the center two-thirds of the chamber is uniform and chamber size should be selected accordingly. Features and Design
The Thermolyne furnaces have several features that make them perform and safe. One of the key features is the ceramic fiber insulation which allows for faster heat up times and lower energy consumption. The custom formed refractory cement surrounds the elements reducing contamination and extending the life. The insulated door has a convenient latch and forms a shelf when open. A safety switch removes power to the elements when the door is open preventing thermocouple failure and runaway conditions. The back of the chamber has a diameter port for injecting special atmospheres or monitoring chamber temperatures with independent measuring devices.
