The Specific Gravity Bench is a versatile and essential tool for laboratories and construction sites that need to accurately determine the relative density of various materials, including aggregates, hardened concrete, bituminous mixtures, refractory brick, and similar materials. Designed for ease of use and durability, this bench simplifies the process of suspended weighing of samples in water.

Construction and Design Built from sturdy 0.15in steel, the Specific Gravity Bench is designed to withstand heavy use in demanding environments. The top balance platform features a 3.5in (88.9mm) diameter hole for weigh-below hook suspension of samples and thermometers, making it easy to accurately measure the density of a wide range of materials.

Adjustable Lower Support The lower support of the bench doubles as a shelf that can be adjusted to accommodate heavy-duty polyethylene 30gal (114L) or 45gal (170L) Plastic Water Tanks (ordered separately). The tank can be positioned at either 4 or 10in above the ground (without casters), providing flexibility for different laboratory setups.

Temperature Control For precise temperature control of immersion water, water heater and circulator accessories can be added to the tanks. This ensures accurate and reliable density determinations even when working with temperature-sensitive materials.

Additional Accessories Wire baskets and cradles in small and large capacities are also available for suspended weighing, providing additional flexibility and convenience. The balance accessory offers versatile solutions in parts counting, percent, and differential weighing, density determination, statistics, and more.
