Gilson’s Servo Control Load Frames provide a robust solution for soil mechanics and asphalt testing, with load capacities of 10,000lbf (44.4kN) or 20,000lbf (88.9kN) and a wide strain rate range of 0.00001–2in/min (0.0001–50.8mm/min). These versatile frames are ideal for tests such as CBR/LBR, triaxial shear, unconfined compression, soil-cement, and various asphalt applications. Featuring precise strain rate regulation to within ±1% under load, the frames utilize a powerful 2hp continuous servo motor with closed-loop electronic feedback for accuracy.

A user-friendly human-machine interface (HMI) simplifies strain rate input and displays real-time strain rate during tests. The servo motor continuously adjusts to maintain accuracy, regardless of load. The frames are designed for easy operation with adjustable horizontal crossheads, coarse-threaded vertical rods, and a daylight opening of 11.9x37.3in (302.2x947.4mm) to accommodate molds, triaxial cells, and testing fixtures. The 8in (203.2mm) platen diameter and durable 16ga powder-coated steel enclosures ensure reliability and durability.

Gilson Load Frames are compatible with Digital Component Sets (sold separately) for complete data collection. These sets include an Two-Channel Data Readout with GetData 5 software, an S-Type load cell, a 2in (50.8mm) LVDT, and all required mounting fixtures. Designed for quick setup, they allow seamless integration for efficient testing.
