Proceq GP8800 Pro Ground Penetrating Radar with Lithium-ion Battery Pack and 5-Year Pro Plan

The Proceq GP8800 Pro is a revolutionary ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system, delivering unparalleled power and versatility in a compact, handheld design. It excels at rapidly scanning tight spaces, curved surfaces, overhead areas, and locations close to walls, making it an indispensable tool for high-precision assessment of concrete bridges, buildings, and pavements.

Advanced Imaging with SFCW Technology Unlike traditional pulsed-radar units operating on a single frequency, the GP8800 utilizes state-of-the-art Stepped-Frequency Continuous Wave (SFCW) technology. This allows the device to sweep a broad frequency range—from 0.4 to 6.0GHz—in a single scan. This wide-spectrum operation achieves a remarkable penetration depth of up to 25.6 inches (65cm) while capturing exceptionally high-resolution data with just one antenna.

Key Applications and Capabilities Engineered for comprehensive structural analysis, the GP8800 accurately detects and maps:

  • Reinforcing bars (rebar) and steel mesh
  • Secondary layers of reinforcement
  • Post-tensioning tendon ducts
  • Electrical conduits and cables
  • Hidden voids, inclusions, and structural discontinuities
  • Slab or wall thickness from a single side

This makes it the ideal technology for structural investigation, as-built verification, quality control, and concrete thickness assessment.

Ergonomic and Flexible Design The GP8800 features an exclusive wireless tracking wheel adjustable between trailing and sidecar configurations for outstanding flexibility in cramped environments. This is also essential for performing cross-polarized scanning—combining data from two perpendicular scans to significantly enhance sensitivity and data resolution. For scanning in extremely narrow areas with as little as 2.5 inches (63mm) of clearance, the battery pack can be removed and connected via a USB-C cable for maximum adaptability.

Seamless Integration with Apple iPad® The GP8800 connects wirelessly via encrypted Wi-Fi to the user’s Apple iPad® (iOS 11 or higher). The GPR Live Pro software leverages the powerful processing, high-resolution display, and collaborative features of the iPad to create an intuitive platform for viewing real-time scans, collecting data, and sharing reports instantly from any location.

Next-Generation Data Visualization The system’s advanced data migration processing generates realistic and easy-to-interpret 2D, 3D, and Augmented Reality (AR) imagery. By integrating with Apple’s ARKit™, it allows users to project subsurface elements onto the real-world environment through the iPad's camera, offering unparalleled in-situ visualization. A key advantage is that the iPad hardware and software can be upgraded at any time, ensuring you always have the latest features without replacing the GPR sensing unit.

Performance and Enhanced Power This package includes the upgraded Lithium-ion Battery Pack, offering extended performance for longer projects. The device can record straight-line scans up to 3,281ft (1,000m) and is optimized for area scans up to 47.2 x 47.2 inches (120 x 120cm). The wireless connection provides cable-free operation at ranges up to 65ft (20m).

GPR Live Pro Cloud and 5-Year Subscription Plan This bundle includes a 5-year subscription to the GPR Live Pro software, unlocking the full potential of the device. This enables 3D functionality, augmented reality, and the ability to share images and data with clients via a URL. All data is securely tracked and stored in the cloud-based Logbook, which also facilitates post-processing and data review. Every measurement and setting change is logged, and users can enrich reports with geolocation, photos, and notes for comprehensive off-site collaboration.
