Advanced Subsurface Imaging Technology At the heart of the GP8800 is its revolutionary Stepped Frequency Continuous Wave (SFCW) technology. Unlike traditional pulsed-radar units that operate on a single frequency, the GP8800 sweeps a wide spectrum from 0.4 to 6.0 GHz. This allows a single antenna to achieve remarkable penetration depths of up to 25.6 inches (65 cm) while delivering high-resolution imaging throughout.

With this advanced capability, the GP8800 accurately identifies:

• Primary and secondary layers of reinforcement, including rebar and steel mesh.
• Post-tension cables and tendon ducts.
• Live wires, plastic and metal conduits, and other embedded objects.
• Subsurface defects such as voids, delaminations, and honeycombing.
• Slab and wall thickness measurements from a single side.

Intelligent Design for On-Site Flexibility The GP8800 is built for real-world job sites. The wireless tracking wheel can be positioned in either a trailing or sidecar configuration, providing maximum flexibility in cramped areas. This unique design also facilitates cross-polarized scanning—a technique that combines data from two perpendicular scans to dramatically improve detection sensitivity and detail. For scanning in narrow spaces with as little as 2.5 inches (64mm) of clearance, the battery pack can be detached and connected via a USB-C cable for tethered operation.

Seamless Integration with Apple iPad The GP8800 connects wirelessly over an encrypted Wi-Fi connection to any user-provided Apple iPad running iPadOS 13.6 or later. This cable-free setup allows for complete operational freedom at ranges up to 65 ft (20m). The powerful Proceq software leverages the iPad's intuitive interface, high-resolution display, and processing power for real-time data collection, visualization, and analysis.

Powerful Data Visualization and Sharing On-site, data is displayed in clear 2D and 3D imagery. Using Apple’s ARKit™, the software can overlay augmented reality (AR) images directly onto the structure, giving you an X-ray-like view of subsurface elements in their real-world context.

The Proceq Logbook platform securely tracks and stores all data in the cloud. This enables live data sharing with off-site experts and post-processing from any iPad linked to the account. All measurements, settings, and changes are logged for complete traceability. Enhance your reports by adding geolocation tags, photos, audio notes, and comments directly to your scans. Exportable formats include CSV, HTML, JPG, PNG, and SEG-Y for seamless integration into your workflow.

Built for Extended Use The GP8800 is powered by four rechargeable, flight-safe NiMH AA batteries, providing up to 2.5 hours of continuous use. For extended projects, the battery pack can be hot-swapped with a tethered 5VDC, 2A power bank to extend operation up to eight hours.
