USB Thermocouple Temperature Data Logger with Display measures and stores over 32,000 temperature readings from K, J, and T-type thermocouples. The data logger measures temperature using different thermocouple types, and its standalone data logger measures functionality allows it to operate independently for autonomous data collection. The included K-type thermocouple probe with a 5ft (1.5m) cable has a range of 32 to 395°F (0 to 200°C) with 1.0°F (0.5°C) resolution, and accuracy is ±2°F (1°C). It is attached to the standard connector at the base of the logger. Logging rates are selectable between 1 second and 12 hours with immediate, delayed, or push-to-start logging. The logging mode can be easily set via the software, and users can select the start time for data logging. The high-contrast LCD screen features a four-digit temperature display function and one-touch operation, allowing the user to cycle between current, maximum, and minimum stored temperature values. The push button is used to cycle through display functions, such as viewing the most recent, maximum, and minimum logged temperatures. The device comes with a K type probe and supports inter changeable type probe options, including Type J and Type T thermocouples. Selecting the correct thermocouple is important for accurate temperature measurement.

Data can be sent to the user’s PC with the free downloadable software by plugging the logger directly into the PC’s USB port. The software is compatible with 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7, 8, and 10 and allows the unit to download, graph, annotate data, and/or export in Excel, PDF, and jpg formats. MA-492 comes with one AA lithium battery and generally lasts for two years before replacing a K-type thermocouple probe and mounting wall bracket.
