Flow Cone Test for Grout
Grout Flow Cone is cast aluminum and has an adjustable gauge assembly. The flow cone method is a standardized test procedure for measuring the flowability of cement grout. This method also applies to other fluid grouts used in concrete. The flow cone measures flowability of hydraulic grout used in preplaced aggregate concrete. This model is flexible for testing applications and does not have an Orifice to regulate flow. With the 0.5in (12.7mm) Orifice it meets ASTM C939. The 0.75in (19.0mm) Orifice can be used for less flowable grout mixes, meets ASTM D6449. Orifices are sold separately. The flow cone test is typically performed on grout mixtures capable of passing a No. 8 sieve, ensuring the grout’s flowability and suitability for quality assessment.
