Probes for Windsor Probe Test Systems come in two distinct designs: "Gold" for lightweight aggregate concrete and "Silver" for normal-weight concrete. These probes are crucial components used exclusively with Windsor Probe Test Systems to determine the penetration resistance of concrete, which, in turn, helps estimate its in-place strength.

Gold Probes are specifically engineered for penetration testing of lightweight concrete with densities less than 125lb/ft³ (2,003kg/M³). They boast a 56% greater cross-sectional area compared to Silver Probes, enhancing their performance in this specialized application. Crafted from hardened alloy steel, these probes are meticulously plated to provide superior protection against corrosion, ensuring longevity and accuracy. For concrete with strengths below 3,000psi, special low-power adapters are available to position the probes further down the barrel, allowing for precise and reliable testing.

Gold Probes are conveniently sold in kits, each containing three probes, three adapters, and three power loads. This comprehensive kit provides everything needed to conduct a single test in accordance with the ASTM test method. For larger projects or ongoing testing, Gold Probes are also available by the case, with each case comprising 25 individual kits.
