Designed for minimal on-site intervention, the CONTEMP recorder utilizes robust LTE-M and 2G GSM cellular technology for continuous monitoring and live data transmission to a subscription-free mobile app. This ensures you have access to real-time data from anywhere, at any time. Should cellular service be unavailable, the recorder automatically connects to any available 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network as a backup.

The unit’s internal memory stores up to 64,000 readings, with customizable recording intervals from 1 to 30 minutes. All data is securely stored in the cloud and analyzed against your project's specific calibration curves. By applying the maturity index, the system accurately correlates the in-place concrete's condition to its actual compressive strength, eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming traditional testing methods.

Built to withstand harsh job site conditions, the rugged IP67-rated recorder operates within a standard temperature range of -4°F to 160°F (-20°C to 70°C). For projects in colder climates, using lithium batteries extends this operational range down to -31°F (-35°C). Powered by four replaceable or rechargeable AA batteries, the system is designed for a long service life with proper maintenance.

The recorder features an internal ambient temperature sensor and two ports for external probes, which boast a wide measurement range of -67°F to 257°F (-55°C to 125°C). With an accuracy of ±0.9°F (±0.5°C) and a reporting resolution of 0.1°, you can be confident in the data's precision.

Effortless On-Site Implementation

Monitoring begins by embedding two durable, color-coded probes (one white, one black) into the fresh concrete during placement. These probes connect directly to the recorder. The different colors allow for quick and easy differentiation between sensor locations on a busy site. At the conclusion of the monitoring period, the low-cost probes are simply detached and abandoned in place, while the valuable recorder is reused for the next project.
