Bottom Sieve Inserts are essential accessories used with the Fritsch Cross Beater Mill to precisely control the final particle size of milled materials. The final fineness is determined by the size and shape of the openings in the sieve insert, typically ranging from 120µm to 10mm, depending on the material's properties and the specific insert used.

These inserts are available with two types of openings:

• Trapezoidal openings: Ranging from 120µm to 10mm, these are best suited for fibrous, medium-hard, or soft materials. The shape facilitates faster milling and throughput.
• Round openings: Available from 3mm to 10mm, these are ideal for brittle or hard materials, producing a more uniform particle size distribution. This specific model features 8.0mm round openings.

As a general rule, smaller sieve openings are required to achieve a finer final particle size, though this may increase milling time. Conversely, larger openings allow for faster throughput and result in less wear on the insert.

All bottom sieve inserts are constructed from high-quality, durable stainless steel 316L, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion.
