CONTEMP Temperature Probe (Black) with 1.5m Cable
The CONTEMP Temperature Probe is an essential component for accurately monitoring concrete maturity in real-time. Designed to work seamlessly with the CONTEMP Recorder, this probe is embedded directly into fresh concrete during placement.
Its primary function is to gather precise temperature data, which the CONTEMP Recorder uses to calculate the strength development and maturity of the concrete based on ASTM C1074 standards. This allows for optimized construction schedules, such as determining the ideal time for formwork removal, post-tensioning, or opening structures to traffic.
The probes are designed for single use; they are detached from the recorder and abandoned in the hardened concrete at the end of the monitoring period. For easy identification on busy and complex job sites, the probes are available in two distinct colors: black and white. This simple color-coding system helps crews quickly differentiate between multiple sensors or monitoring locations, preventing confusion and ensuring accurate data tracking.
While the probes are disposable, the CONTEMP Recorder is reusable for future projects. Additional probes can be purchased individually or as part of a complete CONTEMP Accessory Pack.
