The parts of this kit are to get accurate and fast soil core sampling. The regular auger and 4 3-foot extensions will get you to 12 feet. The cross handle gives you stability and control while augering. The soil core sampler and slide hammer will get you a soil core sample without disturbing it. The kit also has 2 plastic end caps to secure the soil core sample in the liner. After sampling roofing materials you need to repair any holes to keep the roof intact.
