This Porous Stone features a 2.4in (61.0mm) diameter and a 0.50in (12.7mm) thickness, made from durable aluminum oxide material. Designed for geotechnical applications, the rigid disc supports cylindrical soil samples while enabling two-way fluid flow.

We provide a wide range of Porous Stones for laboratory use in tests such as triaxial shear, permeability, direct shear, consolidation, and more.

Porous Stones facilitate the flow and measurement of water or other permeants during testing while preventing fine particles from entering the test system. High-quality stones have a permeability range of 15–18ft³ (424–510L) of air per square foot and an average pore size of 179μm. All porous stones are available for immediate shipping.
