The Dispensing Melting Pot is a reliable and efficient tool designed for the easy dispensing of asphalt binder during testing. Available in two capacities — 4qt (3.8L) and 10qt (9.5L) — this melting pot is built to meet the demands of various testing environments.

Design & Construction

The heavy-duty pipe support mounts easily to any benchtop, while the sliding boss with set screws allows for quick and convenient height adjustments. The cast-aluminum inner pot is insulated to maintain high temperatures, and the blanket-type heating element uniformly heats the pot across the bottom and up to 75% of the wall height, ensuring consistent temperature distribution throughout the asphalt binder.

Temperature Control

The fixed dial thermostat provides straightforward temperature control, with a range of 150°–550°F (66°–288°C). This wide temperature range makes it suitable for a variety of asphalt binder testing requirements. The included aluminum cover helps retain heat and control fumes, further enhancing the safety and efficiency of the unit.

Flow Control

A manual dispensing lever operates a needle valve, giving users precise control over the flow rate of the asphalt binder. This allows for accurate and repeatable dispensing, which is crucial in testing environments where precision is key.
