This Porous Stone is 1.4 inches (35.6 mm) in diameter, 0.50 inches (12.7 mm) thick, and made from high-quality aluminum oxide. Designed for durability, it serves as a rigid disc supporting either end of cylindrical soil samples while allowing two-way fluid flow.

We offer a wide selection of Porous Stones tailored for various geotechnical testing applications, including triaxial shear, permeability, direct shear, consolidation, and more. These stones facilitate the flow and measurement of water and other permeants during tests, while preventing fine particles within the sample from entering the testing system. Our high-quality porous stones feature a permeability range of 15–18 ft³ (424–510 L) of air per square foot and an average pore size of 179 µm. All porous stones are in stock for immediate shipment.
