Vacuum Regulator

The Vacuum Regulator is a state-of-the-art, solid-state, mercury-free digital regulator engineered for precise measurement and control across a wide range of laboratory vacuum applications. Preset to control at 300mm below atmospheric pressure, it is ideally suited for viscous asphalt testing with Asphalt Institute, Cannon-Manning, and Modified Koppers vacuum viscometers.

The Vacuum Regulator is a self-contained unit, equipped with an internal vacuum pump that eliminates the need for an external vacuum source. Its impressive vacuum range of 28–410mm Hg below atmospheric pressure, combined with an accuracy of ±0.5 mm Hg, makes it perfectly suited for highly viscous materials such as asphalt cement at 60°C (140°F), meeting ASTM D2171 specifications. The system is NIST certified and traceable, ensuring the highest level of measurement reliability and consistency.

An integral vacuum trap is included on the front of the Regulator, acting as a safeguard to prevent liquids from being pulled into the system and potentially damaging its internal components. The LCD display provides clear and easy-to-read measurements, while its compact design makes it a practical addition to any laboratory setting.
