Type K Thermocouple Probes are the most common general purpose thermocouple type. They are all immersible and have a standard yellow type k wire and two-blade male connector for use with many digital thermometers in general or high temperature applications. But base metal and platinum thermocouples have limitations in extreme temperature environments, so high temperature probes are needed for applications above their special limits.
All probes (except MAA-291 and HMA-320) have an immersible stainless steel probe with a sensitivity of approximately 41 µV/°C. MAA-291 has beaded wire for fast results in hard to reach areas. HMA-320 has an immersible soldered wire tip.

Features
Our high temperature thermocouple probes are designed to measure temperature in extreme environments. They have compacted beryllium oxide (beryllia) insulation and a tantalum sheath materials and can withstand up to 2,300°C. They are good for one shot R&D measurements but careful evaluation of results is required. Tantalum sheath material is tough and ductile before exposure to high temperatures but can become brittle after prolonged use in such conditions.
Specifications
High temperature up to 2,300°C
High temperature accuracy (electronics and thermocouple)
Thermocouple accuracy selected by end user
Four hot junction styles: Grounded (G), Ungrounded (U), Exposed (E), Half-Shielded (H)
Industrial
Industrial applications where precise high temperature measurements are required. Performs well in reducing atmospheres, vacuum and other high temperature environments. Sintering, annealing, carburizing processes. Also good for applications where a wide temperature range is required even if precision is not the main concern. Compatible with various thermocouple types including K-type thermocouples.
