Thermolyne FB1415M Benchtop Muffle Furnace, Max. 2192F, 2.1L, 120V
The Thermolyne Muffle Furnace is used for ashing, ignition tests, gravimetric analyses, and volatile matter determinations. For construction materials, furnaces are used for tests of soils, aggregates, and cement. This unit has rugged components and top quality materials to assure longest service life. The max. temp range for this furnace is 2192F (1200C) and has a chamber capacity is 120in3.
This unit has a single set-point control ramp directly to the set-point and dwell at that temperature. The display shows actual temperature or set-point. Also features an over-temperature protection and a 0.3in (7.6mm) LED digital display for either °C or °F.
This furnace has multiple elements in sides, tops, and/or bottoms. Since doors and backs have no elements, only the center two-thirds of the chamber is considered uniform in temperature, and chamber size should be selected accordingly. It is also equipped with safety interlock door switches. Power to the elements is automatically cut off when the door is opened. Supplied with a cord and plug.
Muffle Furnace has a 0.07ft³ (2L) capacity with a temperature range of 212–2,192°F (100–1,200°C).
This benchtop unit is equipped with a built-in port that removes moisture and contaminants while extending the heating element and furnace life. It also offers thermocouple break protection, two open-coil heating elements for fast and efficient heat-up, thermal-efficient ceramic insulation, an oven door safety switch, a power cord, and a 0.31in (7.8mm) rear port to monitor chamber temperatures.
Each unit performs well in a variety of applications, including ashing, ignition tests, gravimetric analyses, and determining the volatile matter. These models are additionally designed for use in the testing of soils, aggregates, and cement. The furnaces come with a power cord, hearth tray, and digital single setpoint controller.
