Heavy Duty Steel Column Form for Concrete Forming, 48in Dia X 1ft
Deslauriers Heavy Duty Steel Column forms develop an exceptionally smooth, hard surface remarkably free of voids and with a minimum number of indistinct seams. The forms are galvanized constant radius steel half round sections and quarter round sections (for forms over 48" in diameter) bolted into units for crane handling on the jobsite.
Vertical and horizontal seams, opened and closed with each pour, are connected with high speed bolts to speed setting and stripping.
In addition to the standard column diameters shown, custom diameters and lengths are also available.
Lateral pressure should not exceed 3000 PSF on forms through 36" diameter or 2000 PSF on forms over 36" diameter.
Built-in 1-1/2" lifting holes on most 4ft and 8ft forms. Lifting design of 4000 pound per hole or 8000 pounds assembled. Deslauriers recommends using lifting spreader bar for lifting all column forms.
The Heavy Duty Steel Column Form for Concrete Forming, 48in Dia X 1ft, offered by Deslauriers, is a reliable and durable solution for creating smooth and structurally sound concrete columns. These forms are designed to provide an exceptional finish, with no voids and minimal seams, ensuring a high-quality end result.
Manufactured from galvanized steel, these forms are available in constant radius half round sections and quarter round sections for larger diameter forms. The sections are bolted together, making them easy to handle and transport on the job site using a crane.
The vertical and horizontal seams on these forms are connected with high-speed bolts, allowing for quick and efficient setting and stripping for each pour. This feature saves valuable time during the construction process.
While the standard column diameters are specified, Deslauriers also offers custom diameters and lengths to suit specific project requirements. This flexibility ensures that these column forms can be tailored to meet individual needs.
It is important to keep in mind the maximum lateral pressure that these forms can withstand. Forms up to 36" in diameter should not exceed 3000 pounds per square foot (PSF), while forms over 36" in diameter should not exceed 2000 PSF. Adhering to these guidelines ensures the optimal performance and longevity of the forms.
The forms feature built-in lifting holes, with a lifting capacity of 4000 pounds per hole or 8000 pounds when assembled. To ensure safe lifting, Deslauriers recommends the use of a lifting spreader bar for all column forms.
For additional information and resources, Deslauriers provides a Forming Manual, a list of standard rental forms, and a guide specifically for Steel Column Forms. These resources offer valuable insights and guidance for using these forms effectively and efficiently.
To complement the Heavy Duty Steel Column Form, Deslauriers offers a wide range of concrete forming accessories and tremie pipe and products. These products can further enhance the construction process and ensure a successful concrete project.
For those seeking an alternative option, the Bon Tool 12-700 Concrete Form - Straight Steel - 10' X 4" is a popular choice that is also available.
