The InstroTek SmartLoader is a variable speed universal load frame that can do a multitude of loading tests including the Lottman test for indirect tensile strength in asphalt testing. It can also do Marshall stability tests which are critical for determining the flow resistance of asphalt mixtures. The SmartLoader measures plastic flow, providing valuable data on the asphalt mixture’s deformation and resistance during Marshall stability and flow tests.
The SmartLoader is great for Balanced Mix Design (BMD) testing and comes with BMD tests preprogrammed including IDEAL-CT (Cracking Test), IDEAL-RT (Rutting Test), IFIT and LSU SCB test. Additional tests can be programmed using the LCD touch screen and saved for later use. Switching between tests is quick and easy using the touch-screen menu. The SmartLoader has 8-input channels and can be operated in load control and displacement control. Compact design fits on any lab benchtop.
