Small Lab Oven: All Purpose, 800W
Introduction to Lab Equipment
Laboratory equipment forms the backbone of scientific research, industrial testing, and development. Among the essential tools in any lab are ovens, which play a vital role in processes such as heating, drying, sterilizing, and testing samples. Lab ovens are engineered to deliver precise oven temperature control, ensuring reliable performance across a wide temperature range. Whether you need to reach a maximum temperature of 200°C for sterilization or maintain lower temperatures for gentle drying, there are models designed to meet a variety of laboratory applications.
When selecting a lab oven, it’s important to consider the specific requirements of your work. Factors such as capacity (measured in cu ft), temperature range, and the type of heating—such as gravity or forced air—can all impact the oven’s suitability for your needs. For example, gravity convection ovens are ideal for applications where gentle, even heating is required, while forced air ovens provide faster, more uniform temperature distribution, making them perfect for drying ovens and removal.
Safety is another critical consideration. Many lab ovens are equipped with over temperature protection and monitoring systems to safeguard both samples and users. For applications involving flammable solvents, vacuum ovens are often the preferred choice, as they can decrease the quantity of solvents needed and provide a controlled environment for sensitive processes. These ovens are also suitable for tasks like annealing, aging, and validation, where precise temperature control and safety are paramount.
Leading brands in the industry, such as Despatch Ovens, Despatch, Boekel Scientific, and Across International, offer a variety of models with different features and capacities. From compact ovens with less than 1 cu ft capacity for small-scale research to larger industrial ovens designed for plastics processing and high-volume testing, there is a solution for every laboratory and industrial setting. Accessories like additional shelves can further increase the oven’s flexibility, allowing you to process more samples or accommodate different sizes and quantities.
In summary, choosing the right lab oven involves evaluating your application’s temperature, capacity, and safety needs, as well as considering features like moisture control, compatibility with solvents, and available accessories. With the right equipment, you can ensure efficient, safe, and accurate results for all your essential equipment laboratory and industrial heating, drying, and sterilizing tasks.
All Purpose Laboratory Ovens
These low cost, fully equipped All Purpose Laboratory Ovens are great for sample drying, conditioning, sterilizing, dehydrating and moisture testing. The ovens are designed to be easy to operate, featuring user-friendly controls for reliable and precise temperature management. Setting the correct time for processes such as sterilization or drying is essential to ensure effective and consistent results.
A gravity convection oven, the standard features include: welded steel construction, two nickel plated wire shelves (included) adjustable at ½” increments, full-length continuous hinge, 1” industrial rockwool insulation, thermostatically controlled, over-temperature protection, damper controlled induced air circulation, baked enamel exterior finish, corrosion resistant interior.
A bimetal control thermostat sets desired oven temperature. Thermal cut-off limits maximum oven temperature. Maximum temperature 200°C (392°F). Red pilot light indicates heater operation. Top mounted dial thermometer.
Operates on 120V or 240V, 50/60Hz.
Not for use with flammable solvents or vapors.
