A key feature is the 13-inch (330mm) auger vane at the base, which, guided by the T-style handle, effortlessly drills into compacted materials for accurate core sampling.

The inner tube contains 13 partitioned openings, allowing for the collection of multiple discrete samples from various depths in a single pass. Once the probe is inserted, the inner tube can be rotated to close the openings, securely trapping the samples for clean and easy removal. This design is crucial for obtaining a representative cross-section of the material being tested.
