Sample Ejector

The Sample Ejector efficiently removes compacted soil or asphalt specimens from 4in and 6in (102mm and 152mm) Soil-Density or Marshall molds. With adapter ring accessories, it can also extrude soil samples from 2, 2.5, or 3in (51, 64, or 76mm) diameter Shelby tubes. It features a powerful 12,000lbf (53.4kN) hydraulic jack with a 5in (127mm) stroke, mounted on a durable three-column plated steel frame. The load platform holds molds securely, preventing the emptied mold from falling back onto the jack.

The adjustable frame accommodates molds up to 11.75in (279mm) in length, and specimens longer than 5in can be extracted by repositioning the adapter ring after the piston’s maximum stroke. The spring-loaded piston automatically resets to its start position when the release valve is opened. Adapter rings can be switched out quickly with two wing nuts for added convenience.
