Reusable SC4 Spindles and Measuring Chamber are essential tools for asphalt binder testing, compatible with the Rotational Viscometer and designed to meet ASTM D4402 and AASHTO T 316 standards. With a variety of sizes and shapes, these spindles can measure a wide range of viscosities and asphalt binder characteristics. Made from durable 316 stainless steel with a magnetic coupling, each spindle ensures precision and reliability. The Rotational Viscometer’s Toolmaster™ technology automatically recognizes Anton Paar spindles, eliminating selection errors and guaranteeing traceable results.
Multiple spindle shaft options are available to suit different testing needs:
- Hook-Type Spindles: Ideal for testing modified binders with medium to high temperatures and low viscosity.
- Solid Shaft Spindles: Commonly used for unmodified binders with higher viscosities.
- Choose from one-part solid shafts, two-part solid shafts, or disposable options.
The Reusable Stainless Steel Measuring Chamber is compatible with all reusable spindles and is sold separately. A Disposable Spindle and Measuring Chamber is also available for added convenience.
