Proceq GP8800 Pro Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Proceq GP8800 Pro GPR is a versatile, handheld ground-penetrating radar designed for precise scanning in tight spaces, curved surfaces, overhead areas, and close to the edges of concrete structures, bridges, and pavements. Utilizing Stepped Frequency Continuous Wave (SFCW) technology, it operates across a wide frequency range (0.4–6.0GHz), delivering penetration depths up to 25.6in (63.5cm) and high-resolution imaging from a single antenna, unlike traditional pulsed-radar units.

The GP8800 detects reinforcing bars, steel mesh, secondary reinforcement layers, tendon ducts, cables, conduits, and other embedments. It also identifies voids, inclusions, discontinuities, and measures slab or wall thickness from one side. Ideal for structural investigation, rebar detection, as-built verification, and thickness measurement, it offers unmatched reliability.

Innovative Features for Every Environment

The wireless tracking wheel adjusts between trailing and sidecar configurations, allowing flexible operation in confined spaces and cross-polarized scanning. Cross-polarization combines perpendicular scan data from the same area to enhance sensitivity and resolution. For ultra-narrow spaces (as little as 2.5in/64mm clearance), the battery pack can be detached and tethered via USB-C.

The device pairs with an Apple iPad (iPadOS 13.6 or later) over encrypted Wi-Fi, allowing wireless operation up to 65ft (20m). The iPad serves as a powerful platform for real-time imaging, post-processing, reporting, and collaboration. Results are displayed in 2D, 3D, and augmented reality (AR) through Apple’s ARKit™, overlaying subsurface visuals onto the real-world environment.

Enhanced Functionality and Data Sharing

With memory capable of straight-line scans up to 3,281ft (1,000m) and ergonomic performance for defined area scans up to 1,076ft² (100m²), the unit supports review modes such as non-migrated scans, heatmaps, and depth slices. Data can be exported as CSV, HTML, JPG, PNG, or SEGY files for easy sharing with clients and stakeholders. The Proceq Logbook further secures data in the cloud for live sharing, post-processing, and tracking. Geolocation, photos, audio notes, and comments can be added directly to scans for detailed reporting.

Durable and Flexible Design

The compact antenna housing includes a wireless tracking wheel that attaches to any side for seamless scanning in all directions. Powered by four rechargeable flight-safe or standard AA batteries, the unit delivers up to 2.5 hours of continuous use. For extended projects, a tethered 5VDC, 2A power bank can be used to achieve up to eight hours of operation. Optional accessories include extra battery packs and an ultralight telescoping rod for hard-to-reach areas.

Comprehensive Software and Support

The CT-159 comes with permanent operating software, including access to Proceq Workspace. Users receive free updates and support for five years, with the option to extend. The software remains fully functional beyond this period, and iPad hardware can be independently upgraded without needing to replace the radar unit.

Included and Optional Accessories

Each unit comes with a Wi-Fi module, USB-C cable, carrying case, wrist loop, battery pack, chalk, and two sizes of grid paper. Additional accessories, such as a telescopic rod with an iPad holder, extra battery packs, and marking chalk, can be purchased separately.

The Proceq GP8800 Pro GPR combines cutting-edge technology, portability, and versatility, making it an essential tool for accurate structural investigation and subsurface imaging.
