Proceq GP8000 Pro Portable Ground Penetrating Radar
The Proceq GP8000 GPR is a handheld ground-penetrating radar system engineered for advanced evaluation of concrete structures, including bridges, buildings, and pavements. Utilizing ultrawideband detection with stepped frequency continuous wave (SFCW) technology, it scans frequencies from 0.2 to 4.0 GHz, enabling applications such as integrity assessments, as-built verifications, thickness measurements, and precise marking for drilling, cutting, or coring.
This system identifies steel reinforcement, tendon ducts, cables, conduits, voids, inclusions, and slab or wall thicknesses from a single side. Available in two versions—Pro and Lite—the Pro model offers advanced features and software, while the Lite model is streamlined for tasks like measuring thickness and locating rebar or live wires.
The Pro model connects wirelessly to Apple iPads running iPadOS 13.6 or later, using Pro software for high-resolution data visualization, post-processing, reporting, and instant cloud sharing. With augmented reality (AR)-enabled iPads, users can overlay 2D and 3D subsurface visualizations on real-world environments for real-time imaging. The software also detects live electrical currents and provides robust cloud capabilities for easy data sharing.
Proceq Logbook tracks and secures scans automatically, enabling review, notes, and post-processing from any connected iPad. Additional features include geolocation tagging, photos, audio notes, and comments for detailed project reporting, ideal for collaboration with remote teams. Measurements can be performed via line scans or grid-based area scans up to 1,076 ft² (100 m²), with rebar detection depths of up to 60 inches (1,500 mm). Data and visuals can be shared in formats like CSV, HTML, JPG, PNG, and SEGY.
The GP8000's four-wheel scan car features a probe antenna with 8 mm ground clearance and laser-guided accuracy. Powered by eight AA batteries, it provides up to 3.5 hours of continuous operation. A built-in Wi-Fi module supports independent use from the iPad with a wireless range of 20 meters.
The Pro model includes permanent operating software and access to Proceq Workspace. Users receive free software updates and five years of support, with an option to extend services. Even after the initial five years, the software remains fully operational. The modular design ensures compatibility with future iPad upgrades without replacing the GPR sensor.
The package includes the GPR sensor, two battery packs, a Wi-Fi module, carrying strap, chalk, grid paper (two sizes), a carrying case, and a Lite software license.
