How it Works: These calibrated glass beads are used to verify the performance of your sieves under actual working conditions. To perform a calibration test, the entire sample of beads is placed onto a clean sieve or stack of sieves. The sieves are then agitated using the same method and duration you would use for your regular test samples.

After shaking, you calculate the percentage of glass beads retained on each individual sieve. Using the calibration data provided on the accompanying NIST Certificate of Analysis, you can then accurately determine the effective opening of each sieve in your stack.

Important Note: These beads are specifically for calibrating sieve openings and are NOT intended for determining whether a sieve conforms to its manufacturing specifications.
