Mortar Prism Molds: Cement Prism Mold for Volume Change Tests, 1.6in x 1.6in x 6.3in, 3-gang
Single Prism Mold forms 10in long prism test bars. Testing applications include alkali reactivity, expansion, volume, length and linear change. Also used with a Length Comparator to measure Portland cement paste, mortar and concrete prism samples. These are often called mortar prism molds.
The mold has a base plate, removable partitions and end plates made of corrosion resistant steel to provide the 10in (254mm) length between ends of HM-268 Gauge Studs cast on ends of bars. Dimensions from outside end of Gauge Studs for Mortar Bars are 11.625in (296mm) with 3x3in (76x76mm) specimen cross-section.

Our prism molds produce 10in long cement prism specimens. Molds have removable partitions, base and end plates for easy specimen preparation and testing. Outside to outside effective gauge length of specimen including studs is 11 5/8in and molds produce 11 1/4in long cement prism specimens. Molds are made of stainless steel for durability and long life. Meets ASTM C31-98, C78-94, C192-98, C293-9.
