Monitor M200 - Digital Radiation Survey Meter
The Radiation Alert® Monitor 200 is a compact, professional-grade radiation survey meter engineered for accurate and reliable detection of alpha, beta, gamma, and x-ray radiation. Designed to meet the demands of radiation safety officers, industrial hygienists, emergency responders, environmental monitoring professionals, and educational laboratory technicians, the Monitor 200 delivers exceptional detection performance in a rugged, portable package. Whether you're conducting routine safety checks, environmental surveys, or emergency hazmat operations, the Monitor 200 is built to perform.
Equipped with a Halogen-quenched Geiger-Mueller tube featuring a thin mica end window, the Monitor 200 offers broad-spectrum radiation detection across a wide operating range. Readings can be displayed in CPM, CPS, µSv/hr, mR/hr, or total accumulated counts, giving users the flexibility to monitor radiation in the units most relevant to their application. The large backlit LCD display ensures clear, easy-to-read measurements in all lighting conditions — from dimly lit laboratory environments to bright outdoor field settings.
Customizable audible and visual alarms allow users to set threshold alerts for immediate notification when radiation levels exceed safe limits. A red LED count indicator flashes with each detected radiation event, providing a real-time visual cue alongside the digital readout. For environments where silence is required, a silent operation mode is available.
The Monitor 200 is equipped with USB connectivity for seamless data logging and software integration with the included Observer USB Software. An optional Bluetooth® module enables wireless connectivity with mobile devices via the Observer BLE App, making it even easier to record, analyze, and share radiation data in real time. Internal memory allows users to store readings and timed counts for later review and reporting.
Powered by two standard AA alkaline batteries or USB power, the Monitor 200 offers an impressive battery life of approximately 800 hours under background radiation conditions — minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous monitoring during extended field operations. Its lightweight design (just 0.4 lbs / 181 g) and compact dimensions (5.5 x 2.7 x 1.3 in.) make it easy to carry and operate with one hand.
For applications requiring verified measurement accuracy, an optional NIST-traceable calibration is available, reducing measurement uncertainty to ±10% compared to the standard factory accuracy of ±15%.
