Max Registering Thermometer: Min-Max Spirit Filled

Max/Min Spirit-Filled Thermometer is a traditional Spirit-filled thermometer that shows from -40–120F (-40–50C). Bi-metal thermometers are also available up to 150 c and 300 f for industrial and laboratory use. This type of thermometer shows max and min in F and C since last and current temperature. The reset button makes it easy to start a new measurement. A plastic case for spirit filled U-shaped capillary instrument.

Features:

  • Simultaneous display of max, min and current temperature

  • Button to start a new measurement

  • 200 mm (8 inches) long for use in various environments

  • Tested for durability in harsh conditions

  • Mounts into in-line processes with 1/4" NPT connection

  • Multi-language instructions: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish

  • NIST Thermometer, Waterproof Platinum RTD, Certified; view more product content or images in catalog

  • Designed with art and attention to detail for precision and durability

  • Registering thermometer retains the highest temperature reading until manually reset

  • Calibration is complete when thermometer cools; note the reading for accuracy

  • Mercury or spirit column moves during use and max reading remains until reset

  • Restriction in capillary allows liquid to pass during heating and returns to bulb after use

  • Shake down the thermometer for next use

  • Read the thermometer after stabilization for accurate measurement

What are Thermometers

Tools to measure temperature are tools to measure temperature, a critical factor in many scientific, industrial and everyday applications. Whether monitoring the highest temperature reached in a lab experiment, ensuring sterilizers and autoclaves reach the required high temperature for sterilization, or to monitor ambient and refrigerator / freezer temperature, thermometers play a big role. Max registering thermometers are very useful to show the highest temperature achieved during a process, to ensure the required conditions are met. These are used for temperature monitoring in environments where precision and verification is crucial, such as autoclaves and sterilizers to maintain safety and quality standards.

Features of Min-Max Thermometers

Min-max thermometers including max registering thermometers are designed to record both the lowest reached over a period of time. This feature is very useful in situations where continuous monitoring is not possible, such as remote fieldwork or processes with fluctuating. These thermometers retain reading until manually reset, so no critical data is lost between checks. Many models have a removable silicone sleeve to prevent moisture from touching the dial for added durability and reliability. Built to withstand pressure and high temperature, min-max thermometers are for demanding environments where accurate monitoring and easy is required.

Max Registering Thermometers

Max registering thermometers are designed to show the temperature reached during a process, making them essential in applications like autoclaves and sterilizers. These thermometers can be mounted in various ways, screwed directly into in-line processes using a 1/4" NPT connection for flexibility in different setups. Built to withstand autoclave cycles and high pressure, they have robust materials and glass lens to protect against moisture and ensure clear reading. By showing the highest temperature reached, these thermometers provide verification for processes that require precise temperature control, compliance and safety in laboratory and industrial environments.

Benefits of Spirit Filled

Spirit filled thermometers have many advantages, high accuracy and wide range. Unlike mercury filled thermometers, spirit filled thermometers are safer for users and the environment, that’s why many prefer to use them. They can withstand temps, suitable for autoclave and similar applications. Many spirit filled thermometers have a constriction in the liquid column like the mercury column in traditional max registering thermometers, which allows them to retain the reading until shaken down, like a fever thermometer. This feature is very useful for recording the highest temperature reached in a process. Also many spirit filled thermometers come with multi-language instructions for easy use and calibration for users worldwide. Their durability, moisture resistance and ability to withstand repeated autoclave cycles make them a reliable choice for monitoring and verification in many applications.
