The Marshall Compactor with Automatic Rotating Base is engineered to compact three 4in (102mm) asphalt samples simultaneously, making it an essential tool for high-volume asphalt testing labs. The rotating base plates and tapered-foot hammers work in unison to create a consistent kneading action during compaction, ensuring uniform density across all three samples. The molds rest on a steel plate that covers a large ASTM-compliant oak pedestal, providing a stable and reliable foundation for accurate results.

Powered by a single, robust motor, the compactor controls both hammer operation and base rotation. The built-in automatic counter ensures precision by shutting off the machine at the exact number of blows required, eliminating the risk of over- or under-compaction.
