Lignomat RH Moisture Meter, Ligno-Tec RH Concrete Moisture Meter

Lignomat RH, Ligno-Tec RH Concrete Moisture Meter

The Ligno-Tec RH concrete moisture meter for contractors, floor covering installers and restoration specialists is easy to use and affordable. This rugged concrete meter is designed for measuring moisture level and relative humidity (RH) in concrete slabs and cement-based materials, perfect for concrete moisture tests, RH tests and RH testing according to industry standards. It provides accurate data and readings for decision making and is suitable for flood restoration projects to monitor moisture during drying. It can also be used to test and monitor moisture in cement-based materials. The meter measures ambient temperature as part of the testing process to get a complete picture of site conditions. The Ligno-Tec RH is compatible with L6 Smart Sensors, Total Reader and Bluetooth for advanced monitoring and data collection. Smart sensor technology allows real-time monitoring of relative humidity and temperature. It’s a complete solution for professionals and a starter kit is available for those new to concrete moisture testing. A floor map can be used to plan sensor placement and testing locations, an example of how to calculate the number of sensors for a large slab.

The meter can be used as a Thermo-Hygrometer or for in-depth moisture testing of concrete according to ASTM F2170-11 RH in-situ probe test. Moisture meter shows relative humidity, temperature, GPP and DPT. All sensors are tested for accuracy and reliability.

Thermo-HygrometerIf you need an accurate Hygrometer, the Ligno-Tec RH concrete moisture meter with RH BluePeg probe is your choice. The RH BluePeg probe has a hi-accuracy sensor with short acclimation time. The RH BluePeg probe can be connected with a small Adapter directly to the meter. For extended reach, a cable up to 50ft long can be added. All cables have easy-to-connect and fail-proof 35mm stereo connectors.

In-situ probe concrete testing: Lignomat has designed the RH BluePeg Probe, sleeves, cable and RH concrete moisture meter for a simple and fail-proof measuring procedure. Sensors should be installed in the concrete slab according to ASTM F2170 guidelines, timing is crucial for proper installation to get accurate readings and comply with standards. The RH BluePeg probe drops in the sleeve. The cap fits perfectly and is as flat as can be. The 3.5mm stereo connector can be easily connected. No pin alignment of the cable needs to be fitted. Plug in and read, that’s what our customers like. All Lignomat RH equipment complies to the latest ASTM F2170 standard for RH in-situ probe method. Rapid RH testing solutions are available for fast and reliable results.

Concrete Moisture Testing

Concrete moisture testing is a critical part of the construction and flooring industry, to determine the moisture levels in concrete floor slabs before installation of flooring materials. Excessive moisture in concrete can lead to costly flooring failures, adhesive breakdown and mold growth, so accurate testing is key to a successful project. With specialized tools like concrete moisture meters and relative humidity sensors, contractors can measure both the moisture content and relative humidity in the concrete. Among the various methods available, in-situ relative humidity testing is the most precise and reliable way to get a picture of the internal conditions of the slab. Proper concrete moisture testing ensures that flooring is installed on a stable dry surface, reducing the risk of future problems and long lasting results.

Why Concrete Moisture Meters

Concrete moisture meters are a must have for anyone working with concrete floors. These devices measure the moisture content and moisture levels in the concrete so you can make informed decisions when to proceed with flooring installation. By using concrete moisture meters you can avoid the risks associated with excessive moisture, warping, delamination or adhesive failure. Available in pin-type and pinless models these meters are designed for precision and ease of use, making them essential for reliable moisture testing. Accurate measurements from the moisture meter ensure the concrete floor is properly prepared, supporting the longevity and performance of the finished floor.

Lignomat RH and Ligno-Tec RH Features

Lignomat RH and Ligno-Tec RH systems offer advanced solutions for concrete moisture testing. With high-precision relative humidity sensors like the RH BluePeg probe these systems deliver reliable measurements of relative humidity in concrete slabs. The Ligno-Tec RH meter is versatile, for concrete and wood moisture measurement, making it a valuable for multiple building materials. The RH adapter and durable rubber plugs enhance the system’s accuracy and usability, for secure sensor placement and data collection. With these features Lignomat RH and Ligno-Tec RH give you the confidence to get accurate results in every moisture testing application.

ASTM F2170ASTM F2170 is a must for anyone doing in-situ relative humidity testing of concrete floor slabs. This industry standard specifies how to place the relative humidity sensors in the concrete slab and the protocols for getting accurate and reliable moisture and air content readings. Using ASTM F2170 compliant concrete moisture meters and relative humidity sensors like Wagner Meters ensures testing meets the highest standards of accuracy and consistency. For other critical concrete measurements, using precise digital gauges for concrete air meters with calibration certificates is equally important to ensure quality and durability. Compliance with ASTM F2170 not only is best practice for concrete moisture testing but also helps prevent flooring failures by providing trustworthy data for decision making during installation.

Moisture Testing Methods

There are several ways to measure moisture in concrete, each with its own pros and cons. In-situ relative humidity testing is the most accurate method, as it measures the relative humidity inside the concrete slab, giving you a true picture of the internal moisture conditions. Surface based testing methods are convenient but only measure the moisture at the surface and may not reflect the moisture deeper in the slab. Calcium chloride testing measures the rate of moisture vapor emission from the concrete surface but is less precise than in-situ relative humidity testing. The choice of moisture testing method depends on the project requirements but for the most reliable and accurate results in-situ relative humidity testing is the preferred method among professionals.
