Humboldt Air Meter: Gauge for Concrete Air Entrainment
Concrete Air Meter
A concrete air meter, also known as an air meter, is a must have for measuring air content in freshly mixed concrete. This is critical for durability and strength of concrete structures as proper air entrainment protects against freeze-thaw damage and improves workability. Humboldt’s concrete air meter stands out in the industry for its ruggedness and accuracy, meeting and exceeding ASTM standards such as ASTM C231, ASTM C192 and AASHTO T152.
Designed for both field and lab use, the Humboldt concrete air meter has a 4-inch diameter direct percentage gauge with precise calibration adjustments for accurate readings to the nearest 0.1%. For calibration and measurement tasks, you may also require a precision feeler gauge set. The pressure chamber, also known as the bucket, has EZ-grip cast handles for secure handling and can be used as a 0.25 cu ft unit weight measure to determine unit weight of concrete. The meter’s extra heavy duty stainless steel clamping system has four one-piece self-locking clamps to ensure proper tension and watertight seal during testing.
Included in the kit are the following accessories: a durable plastic carrying case for transport, a tamping rod for consolidation, a strike-off bar for leveling concrete and a rubber bulb syringe for pressure application. The plastic calibration vessel, inside and outside calibration tubes ensure accuracy of each test. The smooth sloped top of the pressure chamber makes cleaning easy, preventing concrete buildup and reducing maintenance. The air meter has the all-brass super pump, the highest quality pump available, for reliable performance and longevity. Every component from the stainless steel clamping system to the rubber bulb syringe is designed for ease of use and durability making it a trusted choice for professionals doing concrete air content testing.
For specifications, operating instructions and safety information refer to the Air Meters-0222 Data Sheet PDF and the H-2783A AirMeter 0322 Product Manual PDF. These documents will guide you through the use of the Humboldt concrete air meter for accurate and reliable results every time.
