Sieve For Soybean: Grain Dockage Sieves Set, Includes H, I, and E
Grain Dockage Sieves Overview
Grain dockage sieves are a vital tool in the agriculture industry, used in the inspection and processing of grains like soybeans, corn and oats. These sieves are designed to separate grain from debris, dirt and other foreign material to meet quality and purity standards. Made from durable aluminum, these sieves come in various sizes and configurations to fit different grains and applications. By using grain dockage sieves, farmers and grain handlers can ensure their produce is contaminant free and meet industry standards.
Official Grain Dockage Sieves
Seedburo Official Grain Dockage Sieves are built to USDA specifications. These sieves are used by federal grain supervision offices, state grain inspection departments and licensed grain inspectors to monitor grain quality. Available in commercial and precision grades, Seedburo sieves fit a wide range of applications, precision sieves are the choice for official inspections by federal grain inspectors. Made from No. 20 gauge B & S aluminum, these sieves provide accurate results with decimal equivalents of diameter or width shown in parentheses. Seedburo dockage sieves are a must have for grain quality and purity in the agriculture industry.
Sieve Configuration and Settings
Grain dockage sieve configuration and settings are critical for accurate results and operation. Top sieve settings are important to separate grain from un-threshed pods and debris. For optimal performance, the front of the top sieve should be closed until the grain tank has 99% clean soybeans. The back should be closed until un-threshed pods start going over the back. At this point the back of the top sieve should be opened up 1/8 inch to allow un-threshed pods to fall into the return auger. By fine tuning the sieve configuration and settings, operators can improve combine efficiency and ensure the grain meets quality and purity standards.
Operation and Maintenance with Optimal Top Sieve Settings
To get accurate results and operation, grain dockage sieves must be properly operated and maintained. Regularly check for wear and tear and replace sieves when necessary. A worn sieve lets too much material through and gives inaccurate results, damaged or dented sieves should be replaced immediately. Clean the sieves regularly to prevent clogging and smooth grain flow. Store the sieves when not in use to prevent damage and maintain accuracy. By following these operation and maintenance procedures, grain handlers can ensure their grain dockage sieves give accurate results and operate efficiently for high quality grains that meet standards.

Seedburo Dockage Sieves are built to USDA specifications. Users can choose from various sieve grades to fit their needs.
Used by federal grain supervision offices, state grain inspection departments and licensed grain inspectors. Content of these sieves is for different applications.
Educational resources are available to learn about sieve usage and maintenance.
Most sieves are available in commercial or precision grades. Sampling from various locations within the grain carriers is important to get representative grain quality.
Options are available for different sieve configurations for various grain types and inspection requirements.
All federal grain inspectors use precision sieves, but for most applications the commercial sieves will do. Instructional videos are available to learn about sieve usage and maintenance.
Sieves should be replaced when the perforations show wear, to get accurate results. Slotted sieves used in sizing barley and oats need to be replaced regularly since these grains are abrasive. A worn sieve lets too much material through and gives inaccurate results. Damaged or dented sieves should always be replaced.
Sieves are made of No. 20 gauge B & S aluminum. Decimal equivalents of diameter or width are shown in parentheses.
