The 8in Gilson Tapping Sieve Shaker can hold up to twenty 8in (203mm) half-height test sieves with pan or ten full-height sieves with pan. The recommended particle size range is 1in (25mm) to No.635 (20µm).

The sieving action of the 8in Gilson Tapping Sieve Shaker is based on research to get sharp, repeatable, and accurate separations fast over a broad range of particle sizes and material types. The exclusive action comes from circular rotation of the sieve stack and vertical two-way tapping at 48 taps per minute. Circular rotation is better than back-and-forth motion which creates “dead spots” and prevents complete separation. The mechanical design is reliable and consistent. Shaker agitation, whether circular or vibratory, helps material separation by reorienting particles and getting them through the sieve mesh, so you get consistent and repeatable results. Particles roll in all directions relative to the pattern of woven sieve mesh. “Up” taps mix, reorient and redistribute particles to present new orientations to sieve surfaces. “Down” taps help near-size particles clear the mesh. These high-capacity shakers can hold as many as twenty sieves, depending on model and sieve frame dimensions.

The built-in digital controller has push-button start and resets test time to zero automatically up to 99 minutes, 59 seconds. Pause function allows you to stop and start the cycle with no loss of test time and a 5-second audible alarm at end of cycle. Easy to program and large 1/2in (13mm) bright LED display.

New EZ-Clamp system is easy to operate. Sieve cover slides up and down the clamp rods with the push of a button. Once in position, just release and twist to secure the lid on the sieve stack. Once the test is complete, just raise enough to remove the stack. Clamps stay in place for the next test with no readjustment. The shaker is capable of handling a wider range of materials, ensuring effective separation across diverse material sizes and types.
