The Economy 8” Gilson Tapping Sieve Shaker is a portable 8in (203mm) screen shaker that outperforms similar priced equipment. This 1/4hp unit is accepted by state transportation departments for highway materials testing. Back and forth lateral motion plus up and down and tilting motion (shaker agitation) causes test material to orbit on the sieve surfaces. No need to level the shaker.

The Economy Gilson Tapping Sieve Shaker is recommended for No.4 to No.200 size range but may be used with larger material sizes when sieve loading and sample quantities allow. The Shaker holds six full-height sieves with pan or thirteen half-height sieves with pan. This sieve stack configuration allows for best particle separation and particle sizing analysis, and intermediate height options are available for increased capacity or improved separation. Clamp bar with attached integral sieve cover and clamps secures sieves, ensuring stability during operation. Proper position of each sieve within the stack is important for efficient operation and accurate results. Freestanding smooth operation is normal but may be mounted via holes provided in bottom end flanges. This model features our digital countdown timer with large LED display to time up to 99 minutes at ±1 second. Pause function and user-selectable modes for greater versatility. Settings are saved between cycles for repeatable smooth operation and one-button operation.
