Specimens are securely mounted using locking stirrups for fast and accurate setup. A bench model is also available, featuring a hand-operated movable platform for precise positioning of cubes, cylinders, and rock cores.

The machine features a fully automatic grinding head with an end-of-stroke system, allowing bidirectional movement without manual intervention. It supports simultaneous grinding of multiple specimen types and can accommodate additional cylindrical specimens for improved efficiency. A dry-grinding option is available through an integrated aspirator connector.

The abrasive head is motor-driven with radial movement in both directions and can be vertically adjusted in 0.05 mm increments using a precision hand wheel. The column is fully protected against abrasive dust, ensuring long-term durability.

Built with a rugged steel frame, the system includes a control panel, coolant and decantation tank, motor pump, standard abrasive sectors (diamond sectors optional), and a safety chip guard that stops operation when removed. Both models operate on 3-phase power and are part of the grinding machine series.

NOTE: HC-2979 Grinding Machine comes with Standard Abrasive Grinding Sections, but specimen locking devices not included. Choose between Fast Locking Device or Locking Stirrups for your operation. Lateral brackets and lateral brackets suitable for locking 100 and 150 mm cubes are available and easily fixed to the table. Clamping devices and jigs support a range of core dia for concrete cores and cylinders.
