Concrete Curing Box Cure Plus 3

The Cure Plus 3 concrete curing box is a fast and reliable way to maintain exact curing temperatures during initial field curing of concrete. A controlled environment box designed to hold specified curing temperatures from 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C) for up to 48 hours without water. The heating function of the Cure Plus 3 is what creates those curing conditions.

Specs and Features:

  • Dimensions: 36” x 24” x 30” (91 cm x 61 cm x 76 cm)

  • Floorboard: 31” x 17.75” (79 cm x 45 cm)

  • Capacity: (12) 6x12” (15x30 cm) or (28) 4x8” (10x20 cm) concrete cylinders

  • Temperature Range: 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C)

  • Thermostat: Adjustable with 2 temperature settings

  • Mobility: Wheels to make it easily transportable and relocation

  • Controller: External controller for temperature monitoring and adjustment

  • Additional Use: For keeping tubes of caulk, sealant and adhesives pliable in cold weather

Design and Functionality:

The Cure Plus 3 concrete curing box has an adjustable thermostat that allows you to set 2 different temperatures for different curing needs. The external controller is for easy temperature monitoring and adjustment so you have precise control over the curing environment of concrete cylinders. The box has to maintain a consistent temperature range for quality and reliability of concrete test specimens.

The inside of the cure box can hold up to (12) 6x12” or (28) 4x8” concrete cylinders. The inner floorboard is 31” x 17.75” so you can cure multiple concrete test specimens at once.

Applications and Advantages

Concrete curing boxes are for maintaining the quality and integrity of concrete test specimens for any concrete structure. The applications and advantages are:

  • Better Concrete Strength and Durability: By curing in a controlled environment these concrete curing boxes improve the strength and durability of the concrete so it meets the standards.

  • Reduced Shrinkage and Cracking: Proper curing reduces the chance of shrinkage and cracking so you get a better and more reliable final product.

  • Longer Life of the Concrete: Well cured concrete has a longer life so it’s more sustainable and cost effective.

  • Less Defects and Imperfections: Consistent curing reduces the chance of defects and imperfections so you get better concrete.

  • Better Workability and Finish: The controlled environment of the curing box improves the workability and finish of the concrete so it’s easier to handle and apply.

  • Meets Building Codes and Regulations: Using a curing box meets industry standards and regulations like ASTM and AASHTO.

  • Cost Effective in the Long Run: Investing in a curing box will save you money in the long run by reducing the need for additional curing agents and minimizing defects.

  • Eco Friendly: By reducing the need for additional curing agents concrete curing boxes are a more sustainable job site consruction.

  • For Various Industries: These concrete curing boxes are for job site consruction, engineering and research so versatile for different applications.

Installation and Setup

Concrete curing boxes are easy to install and set up so you can start curing right away. Follow these steps to install and set up:

  1. Put the Curing Box: Place the curing box in a level and stable location so it won’t move during operation.

  2. Power Cord: Plug in the power cord to a 115V/60Hz power source to power the box’s heating and cooling.

  3. Temperature Control Unit: Set the temperature control unit to the desired temperature so it matches your concrete test specimens requirements.

  4. Water: Fill the recirculating water tank with water to control the temperature.

  5. Concrete Test Cylinders or Cubes: Put your concrete test cylinders or cubes in the curing box and space them evenly.

  6. Lockable Lid: Close the lockable lid to keep the environment consistent and tamper proof for concrete cylinders

  7. Check Temperature and Humidity: Check the temperature and humidity levels regularly to stay within the curing range.

Maintenance and Upkeep

To keep your concrete curing box in top shape regular maintenance and care is required. Follow these guidelines:

  • Clean and Inspect: Clean the curing box and its parts regularly to prevent dirt and debris buildup. Inspect the box for any damage or wear.
