Usage & Operating Conditions

For optimal results, follow these guidelines. Always test on a small area first.

• Light Soils: Dilute to a 3–5% concentration by volume with water.
• Heavy Soils: Dilute to a 5–10% concentration by volume with water.
• De-rusting & De-scaling (Ferrous Metals Only): Use a robust 20–25% solution.
• Optimal Operating Temperature: For best performance, maintain the ultrasonic bath temperature between 140–180°F (60–82°C).
• Recommended Rinsing Temperature: Rinse parts thoroughly with water at 120–150°F (49–65°C).

Substrate Compatibility

Chem-Crest 275 is formulated for robust materials. When used as directed, it is safe on:

• Metals: Ferrous metals (iron, steel), stainless steel, nickel, chromium alloys, and titanium.
• Other Materials: Plastics, glass, ceramics, and silicon wafers.

⚠️ Important: This is a caustic formula. Do not use on soft or reactive metals such as aluminum, magnesium, or zinc and their alloys. Consult your Crest representative for suitable alternatives for these substrates.
